Мы взяли упражнения на заполнения пробелов в Part 4 в KET for Schools и просто убрали список слов, которые нужно вставлять в пробелы. Получилось open cloze.
Многие взрослые, считающие, что они владеют английским на уровне никак не ниже B2, будут делать ошибки в этих "детских" упражнениях, требующих развитие невербального мышления и понимания смысла всего предложения целиком - как одну смысловую единицу. Кроме всего прочего, его рудиментарное состояние у большинства взрослых не позволяет им выучить язык на уровне С2 и выше.

Примечание: поскольку пропуски в исходных текстах изначально были предназначены для упражнений с выбором правильного ответа из списка (multiple-choice), а не для заданий типа open cloze (открытое заполнение пропусков), иногда гораздо сложнее определить значение и подобрать подходящее слово. Пропуски, которые специально создаются для заданий типа open cloze, обычно позволяют легче понять смысл и подобрать нужные слова (и развить невербальное мышление), что будет показано в соответствующих заданиях этого типа.

На экзамене предполагается, что кандидат в среднем должен тратить до 1 минуты на заполнение одного пропуска. Но для multiple choice потребуется меньше времени и меньше сосредоточения, чем для open cloze.

В приведённых ниже 20 текстах меньше 120 пропусков по одному слову. Это лишь небольшая часть словарного запаса уровня A2. Грамматические темы также представлены только частично. С другой стороны, в реальных экзаменационных заданиях охватываются ещё меньшие объёмы материала. На самом деле вам не обязательно нужны ключи ответов, потому что ChatGPT или Gemini обычно легко справляются с такими заданиями и могут предоставить ответы. Вы также можете попросить их ограничить используемую лексику и грамматику уровнем CEFR A2. Полностью ограничиться им они не смогут, но как-то скорректируют свои ответы в этом направлении. Да, для менее чем 10% пропусков существуют другие подходящие варианты заполнения, но здесь основное внимание уделяется лексике и грамматике уровня CEFR A2. Нет, мы не фетишисты и не члены церкви кембриджских уровней, но этими заданиями мы хотим лишь показать, как малейшие изменения типа заданий приведут к совершенно другой успеваемости, и как задания open cloze, умение выполнять которые необходимо в повседневном общении, отличаются от multiple choice, навык выполнения которых в живом общении никак вам не пригодится.
